Junior Software Engineer
Our client provides industrial automation solutions worldwide for customers in mechanical engineering, offshore and process industries. With over twenty-five years of experience and 60 experienced engineers, their clients can benefit from a huge amount of knowledge and experience! They believe in technology, but above all in people. The projects are very challenging and varied. One week you work on a small change at a customer in the region and another week you work on an offshore project that is put into operation on the other side of the world. From working on crane projects and bakeries, to controlling lighting in greenhouses and making simulations. The variety in clients and the size of projects is what makes this work diverse.
As a Software Engineer, you will analyse, test and optimise existing or new software (PLC and Scada). You participate in the entire project from the customer's requirements up to and including support during the commissioning of the software solution. Your knowledge and experience therefore contribute directly to the end result.
Based on the functional specification and discussions with the customer, you create a technical design and planning for software development. You also bring processes or machines to life with structured commissioning. This can be both in the Netherlands and abroad.
You also work together with colleagues within the Batenburg Industrial Automation division. By combining our knowledge and experience, together we create innovative and smart automation solutions.
- You have a hbo working and thinking level, preferably hbo Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or (Technical) Computer Science ;
- You have 0-5 years of relevant work experience;
- You have knowledge of the following programming languages and brands:
- Siemens, Bachmann, Beckhoff and/or Allen-Bradley
- LAD, SCL & FBD;
- You have good communication skills and know how to handle responsibility;
- You have a good command of the Dutch and English languages, both verbally and in writing;
- You are willing to travel at home and abroad.
